The 4Runner project when evaluated was more a labor than a love. How many videos have I posted where I take the 4Runner offroading and test the equipment I installed? Never.
I have drove the 4Runner for a total of 4 miles since owning the truck due to multiple issues. My main takeaway is if you are buying a project, buy the best possible example you can. I by no means am blaming the platform of the 3rd Gen Toyota 4Runner for poor build quality; I am blaming the previous owners for not taking good care of it. If I had the privilege of long road trips and lots of backroad fun, the labor would be worth the love.
In my case, there was no love to begin with. I guess this is what Taylor refers to with bad love.
